‘North of Now’ is about the past and the sense of home. It is a nostalgic view on memories of times that are long gone. And about how things are ever-changing - and have changed - in my hometown in the north.

‘Heading North’ deals with returning to a place called home, the anticipation of meeting old friends and impressions of the transformed neighborhoods, which can - otherwise - cause oneself to feel alienated and disconnected.

‘Of Fish and the Sea’ is a song that captures the essence of being in the north for me. The sea breeze blowing through your hair, the cries of seagulls. It also has that sense of traveling on water - or in the water as a scaly little creature.

The last song ‘Off to New Places’ marks the end of the short trip to the north, but not exclusively in a bad way. The song symbolizes how one needs to adapt to the changes in life by plunging into new adventures, overcoming obstacles and lastly the excitement change can bring.
